City of Radford to Host Free Customer Service Training to Hospitability Industry Employees

Radford, Va. – The Department of Housing and Community Development is partnering with the City of Radford to bring local business owners a free hospitality training – Delivering Memorable Experiences Downtown – on Tuesday, December 4 from 8:30a-11:30a in the Training Room at NRVCS located at 401 West Main Street. The free workshop will be led by Dr. Vincent Magnini, author and associate professor at Virginia Tech, who was recently ranked one of the top 12 most prolific hospitality researchers worldwide.

The Virginia Main Street & Community Business Launch sponsored workshop will discuss ways to maximize businesses’ long-term profitability and cover the latest research on establishing and maintaining a first-class customer service culture.

“This is a great effective training opportunity for our regional business owners and employees as the holiday season approaches”, said Blair Hoke, City of Radford Economic Development Director. “We encourage those in the hospitality industry and businesses who would like to find ways to enhance their customer service experience to attend.”

The training session is free but attendees must RSVP by November 27 to or (540) 267-3128.
