Helping to create more dementia friendly communities
Join us Monday, January 27, 2020 at 1:00 pm for a special Dementia Friends Information Session to learn more about dementia and the things you can do to make a difference for people in our community who are living with dementia. Dementia Friends is a global movement developed by the Alzheimer’s Society in the United Kingdom, and is now underway in the United States. The goal of Dementia Friends is to help community members understand five key messages about dementia, how it affects people, and how we can each make a difference in the lives of people living with the disease. It is important for people with dementia to be understood and supported in their communities. You can help by becoming a Dementia Friend in this 60-minute session.
