ARMENTROUT

Sheriff Mark Armentrout, since his initial election in 2004, the citizens or Radford have re-elected Sheriff Armentrout four additional terms.

Sheriff Armentrout developed the first operations manual, instituted several innovative programs including Good Morning Radford and TRIAD.

BURTON

Major Charlie Burton joined the sheriff's office in 2018. He is a former Radford City Police Department Sergeant for 16 years.

He is a General Instructor, Driving Instructor, Firearms Instructor, Field Training Officer, and Serious/fatal Crash Investigator. Major Burton is responsible for general administrative duties, supervision and training for the office.


PHILLIPS

Lieutenant Jason Phillips joined the sheriff's office in 2004.

He is a General Instructor and a Field Training Officer. Lieutenant Phillips is responsible for the front line supervision for the Sergeants and is the agency authority on civil process and courtroom security.


OWENS

Sergeant Dwayne Owens joined the sheriff's office in 2006.

He is a General Instructor and Field Training Officer. He is the certified D.A.R.E. officer/instructor for the Radford City Schools. Sergeant Owens is responsible for front-line supervision of deputies in the area of court security, civil process and inmate transports.


DAILY

Sergeant Gary Daily joined the Radford Sheriff's Office in 2016.

He previously worked at the Western Virginia Regional Jail, as well as the Roanoke County Sheriff' s Office before that. Sergeant Daily is responsible for the front-line supervision of the Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) deputies.


REVIN

Deputy Jeff Revin joined the Radford Sheriff's Office in 2016.

He previously worked at the Juvenile Detention Center in Montgomery County. Deputy Revin is a Field Training Officer and is responsible for court security, civil process and inmate transport.


MOORE 

Deputy Joshua Moore joined the Radford Sheriff's Office in 2018.

He previously worked for the Western Virginia Regional Jail and as an EMT before that. He is a certified Taser Instructor. Deputy Moore is a Field Training Officer and a member of our Crisis Intervention Team (CIT). He is responsible for CIT, court security and civil process.


THACKER

Deputy Robert Thacker joined the Radford Sheriff's Office in 2019.

Deputy Thacker is responsible for court security, civil process and inmate transport.


BOYD

Deputy Codey Boyd joined the Radford Sheriff's Office in 2020.


He previously worked for the New River Valley Regional Jail. Deputy Boyd is a member of our Crisis Intervention Team (CIT). He is responsible for CIT, court security and civil process.


DISHON

Deputy Christopher Dishon joined the Radford Sheriff's Office in 2020.

He previously worked for the New River Valley Regional Jail. Deputy Dishon is a member of our Crisis Intervention Team (CIT). He is responsible for CIT, court security and civil process.


ARRIS

Deputy Connor Arris joined the Radford Sheriff's Office in 2020.

He previously worked for the Lewis-Gale Montgomery CIT Center. Deputy Arris is a member of our Crisis Intervention Team (CIT). He is responsible for CIT, court security and civil process.


BOHANAN

Deputy Arnie Bohanan joined the Radford Sheriff's Office in 2020.

He previously worked for the Pulaski County Sheriff's Department as well as Richmond Police Department. Deputy Bohanan is a member of our Crisis Intervention Team (CIT). He is responsible for CIT, court security and civil process.


SMOORE

Deputy Stanley Moore joined the Radford Sheriff's Office in 2006.

Although her retired from full-time in 2016, Deputy Moore remains a part of the office as a part-time deputy. He is responsible for additional court security when needed, as well as inmate transport.


HITE

Deputy Tatiana Hite joined the Radford Sheriff's Office in 2020.

She currently works part-time for the Radford University Police Department as the Clery Coordinator, as well as a part-time deputy for our office. She helps provide additional court security and assists with transports when needed.


LINKOUS

Shannon Linkous joined the Radford Sheriff's Office in 2018.

She previously worked in the Treasurer's Office for the city. She is both the Secretary and the Accreditation Manager for the office. She is responsible for administrative duties, which includes Good Morning Radford and TRIAD, as well as maintaining the files for the Virginia Law Enforcement Professional Standards Commission Accreditation.
